“On Saturday, May 4th the La Grande Rotary Club is hosting our semi-annual Community Clean-Up Day. From 9:00am to 2:00pm, bring any non-hazardous trash, recyclables, or scrap metal to one of three locations for disposal. We’ll have dumpsters at Les Schwab Tire Center, and the corner of Ash Street and V Avenue in La Grande, and we’ll also have dumpsters at Fred Beeman Park in Island City. In addition to trash, recyclables, and scrap metal, the Les Schwab location will be accepting car and small pickup tires at a charge of $2 per tire, or $3 per mounted tire. Truck and tractor tires not accepted. Vehicle batteries will also be accepted. The La Grande Rotary Club is a local organization committed to community service and engagement, and we have many partners for this project who share in that commitment. We are accepting cash and check donations at each location. We hope to see you at one of our 3 locations on Saturday May 4th, between 9:00am and 2:00pm.
