Presenting

We want you to have a great experience with your presentation.  Please review this information to help you have a great experience.

La Grande Rotary normally meets each Tuesday 12PM-1PM.  Members and guests usually begin arriving 1145AM-1215PM.  The meeting normally starts at 1215PM.  We recommend you arrive with your host by 1145AM.  Presentation time is usually about 20 minutes.  Some members may leave starting at 1250PM to return to work.  The meeting normally ends at 1PM.  It is common if time allows for presenters to answer questions until about 1257PM.  You may wish to remain after the meeting ends to answer any remaining questions.

Attendance is usually 30-45 people.  If you have hand outs some members may leave them behind, so please plan to pick up any hand outs left behind.

If your presentation requires any of the following resources:

  • projector
  • computer
  • audio
  • video
  • Internet / WiFi
  • laser pointer
  • remote to control slides

Please use this contact form to let us know at least 10 days before your presentation date to confirm availability of any resources you may be seeking for us to provide.

The meeting facility is equipped with:

  • white wall where we aim projectors
  • cart (to hold a projector, computer)
  • small set of amplified computer speakers with a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack.
  • WiFi Internet, (no wired Ethernet jack)

If you have your own computer with your presentation file(s) you are invited to bring it with you.

We have access to a projector and can bring it to the meeting facility upon advanced notice.   The projector supports these video ports:

  1. VGA
  2. HDMI type A

If you have a Mac and are unsure if your Mac has the appropriate video ports to work with our projector.  See here for help.

If you have someone who normally helps/supports you with your computers/information technology (IT) you may want to share this link with them so they can help you.

Normally presenters use software to organize their presentation using presentation software and produce a PowerPoint or PDF file as the final product.  Such files are easier for us to help you with if you do not have a computer that will work with our projector.

If you are not sure your computer works with our projector option you should arrange to bring your own projector.

Thank you for presenting!
