La Grande Rotary’s inaugural daddy-daughter dance, An Enchanted Evening, fulfilled everyone’s expectations as a success. The Masonic Ballroom in downtown La Grande was packed with over 300 participants who enjoyed an evening of music, dancing, food, grand entrances, face painting, and a chocolate fountain.
Many daughters had their dads on the dance floor all evening.
Lance Shoemaker’s comment sums up the night: “My hat is off to the La Grande Rotary Club. The Daddy/Daughter dance was fantastic. Thank-you for letting my sweet daughter’s dreams come true and giving a father memories that will last a lifetime. It was a blessed evening!”
Proceeds from the event helped support Rotary’s youth programs in La Grande and beyond by funding the Drug Free Youth Program and our El Salvador scholarship program for young women.
